日本にほんには春はる、夏なつ、秋あき、冬ふゆの四よっつの季節きせつがあり、季節きせつごとに違ちがう景色けしきを楽たのしむことができます。

Japan has four seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter - and each season offers different scenery to enjoy.

特とくに春はるの桜さくらは人気にんきがあります。三月さんがつの終おわりから四月しがつにかけて、多おおくの人ひとが公園こうえんに集あつまり、花はなの下したで食事しょくじをしながら話はなします。これを「花見はなみ」と言いいます。

Cherry blossoms in spring are especially popular. From the end of March into April, many people gather in parks and chat while eating under the blossoms. This is called "hanami".

桜さくらの花はなは咲さいてから一週間いっしゅうかんほどで散ちってしまいます。短みじかい間あいだしか見みられないので、日本人にほんじんは昔むかしから桜さくらを特別とくべつな花はなだと考かんがえてきました。

Cherry blossoms fall about a week after they bloom. Because they can only be seen for a short time, the Japanese have long thought of them as a special flower.

最近さいきんは、海外かいがいから桜さくらを見みに来くる観光客かんこうきゃくも増ふえています。
